Vengo a Tí Spanish worship

Spanish Worship Song Vengo a Tí – Español

Vengo a Tí, I come to You, spanish worship . Compositions written to praise God, original works written in Spanish for a Spanish-speaking church.

Vengo a Tí, I come to You, is the fourth worship song from the Can-Walk team at Cristo Vencedor. (Well, maybe the third and a half-th version, as it is an alternate version of the spanish worship song, ‘Ven a Mi’)

Copyright and Vengo a Tí – In Churches

Our compositions are first and foremost written to praise God. Then they are written as what we feel is right for our church at a particular time. They are free to use by churches in their regular services.
We request that an acknowledgement of the authorship (“© Words J Cánovas, Music D Walker”) is made on any overheads, and other digital and printed material.

v1
Dentro del clamor del mundo
¿Donde hallaré sosiego?
Oigo . .
“Ven a mi.”
¿Cuando cantaré elogio?
El tiempo está huyendo
Oigo . .
“Ven a mi.”

coro
Vengo a Ti … al lugar secreto
Vengo a Ti … al escondedero
Vengo a Ti … a tu paz y hermosura.
Vengo a Ti … al lugar secreto
Vengo a Ti … al escondedero
Vengo a Ti … a la dulzura de tu gracia.

v2
Lo oigo en el viento,
En las alas de la bruma
Oigo …
“Ven a mi.”
El ruido se esfuma
Sé quién está llamando
Oigo …
“Ven a mi.”

coro
Vengo a Ti … al lugar secreto
Vengo a Ti … al escondedero
Vengo a Ti … a tu paz y hermosura

coro
Vengo a Ti … al lugar secreto
Vengo a Ti … al escondedero
Vengo a Ti … a tu paz y hermosura
Vengo a Ti … al lugar secreto
Vengo a Ti … al escondedero
Vengo a Ti … a la dulzura de tu gracia

Music by Donna Walker, words by Josephine Cánovas. An approximate English translation of the Spanish worship song, Vengo a tí, and my notes on the words, are below. Further translations to follow.

Notes:

Inspired by two scriptures:
Ps 137:4 How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?
Ps 46:10 Be still and know that I am God

The word used in line 2 of v1, sosiego, reflects the scripture in Ps 46. To me it is fuller than just ‘peace’ – it encompasses a stillness, a calmness, a surety.

Spanish Worship Song Ven a Mi – Come to Me

v1:
In the clamor of the world
Where shall I find peace?
I hear ..
“Come to me.”
When will I sing praise?
Time is fleeing
I hear …
“Come to me.”

chorus
I come to You … to the secret place
I come to You … to the hiding place
I come to You … to your peace and beauty
I come to You … to the secret place
I come to You … to the hiding place
I come to You … to the sweetness of your grace

v2
I hear it in the wind
On the wings of the mist
I hear . .
“Come to me.”
The noise fades away
I know who is calling
I hear . .
“Come to me.”

chorus
I come to You … to the secret place
I come to You … to the hiding place
I come to You … to your peace and beauty
I come to You … to the secret place
I come to You … to the hiding place
I come to You … to the sweetness of your grace

bridge
I know that you are here
Yes I know that you are here
I know that you are here and you are God.
I know that you are here
Yes I know that you are here
I know that you are here and you are God.
